David Almeida has been selected to Residency Unlimited
New York, USA
David Almeida (1989, Brasília) has been selected to participate in the Residency Unlimited, an artistic residency in New York. With the support of institutions such as Queens Museum and School of Visual Arts, the organization offers a programme tailored to the goals and needs of each artist and curator.
Almeida’s research investigates the boundaries between presence and absence through elements of painting and its narrative semantics. Places and sensations harbor his understanding of representation, in which the density of a painted night is intimately related to the oblique process of constructing it.
