Maya Weishof (1993, Curitiba, Brazil) and Vanessa da Silva (1976, São Paulo, Brazil) hold the duo show May Your Mouth Contain the Shapes of Strange Words at Duarte Sequeira Seoul, South Korea.
The proximity of the artists' work invites us to reflect on ways of perceiving corporeality. On the show, Weishof presents a set of nine new paintings –ranging in size from 40cm to 2m in height– in which, using oil, pastel chalk, and charcoal, she creates vibrant images of human and animal bodies that merge and blend with the landscape.
