'Nhe’ẽ Porã': Memória e Transformação, exhibition curated by Daiara Tukano, will travel to two different institutions. Starting in February 2024, the show will be presented at the Museu Emílio Goeldi in Belém —where it stays until July 28— then, a portion of the exhibition travels to the Ségur Hall, at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, from the 13th to the 26th of March.
Held at the Museu da Língua Portuguesa, São Paulo, from 2022 to 2023, the exhibition is dedicated to the indigenous languages spoken in Brazil today. The exhibition design creates a forest that invites the public to an immersive experience that presents the history and transformations that occurred in indigenous languages over time, as well as other communication technologies used by native peoples. Videos, objects, and works of contemporary art make up the exhibition.
The news was published on Mônica Bergamo's column in the Folha de S.Paulo Newspaper.
