A painting by Paulo Pasta (1959, Ariranha, SP, Brazil) was incorporated into the exclusive collection of the Itamaraty Palace (the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil) in Brasilia this week.
Pasta's large-scale work (240 x 300 cm) was painted in 2014 and belongs to a well-known series by the artist in which the forms suggest crosses, beams, and columns, although the work is not thematic or formalistic. Prior to this, Pasta explores chromatic confrontation with great freedom.
