Pavilhão Maxwell Alexandre is extended in Rio de Janeiro
Pavilhão Maxwell Alexandre 2
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Maxwell Alexandre (born in 1990, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) opened Passagem 7: Bifinho at the Pavilhão Maxwell Alexandre 2 in Rocinha, Rio de Janeiro, on February 20th.

Following a renovation, the space reopened with new works and exhibition design, along with the premiere of the film Bifinho. The movie is part of the series Entrega: one planet, one health, presented for the first time at Cahiers d'Art in Paris. It features scenes of students from public schools working as app delivery drivers during moments of relaxation or training to fight the dinosaur mascot of the Danoninho brand—a scene also depicted in paintings from the series.

The film's title, Bifinho, is derived from the jingle played in the advertisements of the yogurt brand in the 1990s. In the film, it is sung like a hymn from an evangelical Christian harp or military songs from the Special OPS police battalions or the Brazilian Army infantry.

The exhibition is on view through March 20.
