Thiago Martins de Melo shows a group of works at the inauguration of the Instituto Guimarães Rosa Mexico, Mexico City, on March 2nd.

The exhibition Thiago Martins de Melo en Colaboración con Cerámica Suro presents five ceramic sculptures, as well as an original stop-motion animation by the artist. Martins de Melo draws on the traditional form of vases and overlays them with images that critically challenge symbols of power and Latin American colonial history.

The Instituto Guimarães Rosa is an initiative from the Itamaraty to diffuse and exchange Brazilian culture around the world and it is currently present in 24 countries.
