Texas, USA

The exhibition This Land, taking place at The Contemporary Austin, TX, USA, features works by Vivian Caccuri (1986, São Paulo, Brazil).
The exhibition curated by Robin K. Williams reflects on the concept of landscape as a container for the histories and mythologies of place, migration and displacement, as well as the exploitation of human labor and natural resources.
Caccuri presents the works "Bass Mass" (2021), originally commissioned for The High Line, NY, and "Mosquito Shrine II" (2020), which features a narrative on American colonization from the perspective of conflicts between humans and mosquitoes.
Until January 28, 2024.
