This catalogue is published on the occasion of the exhibition José Damasceno: Perpetual Motion, held at Estação Pinacoteca between March and July 2021. The exhibition gathers more than 70 works, including sculptures, installations, drawings and photographs produced between 1989 and 2021, in a selection that represents the widest overview of the artist's trajectory until now. This publication, in turn, presents a visual essay specially designed by Damasceno himself, as well as two original texts by exhibition curator José Augusto Ribeiro and American art historian Lynn Zelevansky. Reproductions of the works shown in Perpetual Motion are also included.
